Amendments to the Withdrawal Bill- A Short Summary

Over the past 48 hours, amendment voting was undertaken by MPs in the House of Commons regarding Theresa May’s Withdrawal Bill. In a nutshell, May’s government claimed majority victories on almost the full spectrum of amendments, including those discussed in our previous post. For instance, the government blocked the ‘meaningful vote’ amendment, narrowly winning by 324-298 votes.
