Here are the details:
Thursday 27th September 2018, 10am-12pm
Ozzy Road Baptish Church, Charnwood St, Derby
This event is a Q&A meeting/session with a Lawyer from the Immigration solicitor firm Seraphus; based in London, they are contracted by the EU Commission in London to help make communities and organisations aware of the new Settlement Scheme for EU communities post-Brexit.
The agenda will include:
- EU citizens rights after Brexit
- Transition period
- Settled status and pre-settled status
- Living, working and studying in the UK
- UK Citizens’ rights in Europe
Employees at all levels (councillors/managerial staff/caseworkers/volunteers) are all welcome to attend. Also, EU Nationals themselves, who have queries or concerns, are more than welcome to come along.
The event will be inevitably centred on Brexit-related matters, but there will be an opportunity to discuss other dimensions such as: consumer (buying goods from Europe), travel (claiming back on flight cancellations/damaged luggage), exporting/importing for businesses etc.
It is a free event, open to ALL! Places are served on a first-come first-service basis- don’t miss out! Click HERE to direct you to the event sign-up.
