The European Union continues to measure the effectiveness of its “Code of conduct on countering illegal hate speech online.”
In May 2016 the EU agreed the Code of Conduct with Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter and YouTube. Since then Instagram, Google+, Snapchat, Dailymotion and jeuxvideo.com all indicated their intention to follow the code.
